Julie Jansen“Do what you love and love what you do,” is a philosophy that Julie Jansen lives and coaches by. A dynamic, successful executive coach, speaker, career coach, and author, she has empowered thousands of professionals across industries to increase their effectiveness and jump-start their careers.

After graduating from the University of Hartford’s College of Arts and Sciences in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, Jansen worked in broadcasting and sales. She started her own speaking and coaching business in 1999.

Jansen has been quoted in many of the nation’s most respected publications and has been interviewed by countless radio stations and television networks. Her books, including the third-edition release in 2016 of her best-selling I Don’t Know What I Want, But I Know It’s Not This: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Gratifying Work (Penguin Books), have helped many worldwide find fulfilling, rewarding careers.

Jansen volunteers as a career coach and speaker with Cancer and Careers, a one-stop resource for legal and career workplace information for people with cancer. She served on the advisory board for 17 years at the Baruch College Computer Center for the Visually Impaired, a nonprofit that teaches blind and visually impaired people technology skills. Jansen resides with her husband, Gary, in Stamford, Conn.
