Next Commencement Ceremonies

Commencement 2024

Cap and gown pickup for those who selected "campus pickup" when ordering took place at the Campus Store (bookstore) on Tuesday, April 30, and Wednesday, May 1. If you had chosen to pick up on campus and did not get your regalia during those two days, please visit the Campus Store during regular business hours between now and May 9.

A round-trip shuttle will be available for graduating students and faculty participating in the ceremonies. Shuttle pickup will be on UHart campus in Millard Circle, 90 minutes prior to each ceremony start time. The shuttle will return to campus directly after each Commencement ceremony. If you would like to reserve a space on the shuttle, please email hawkgrad@hartford.edu by Monday, May 6, with your name and the ceremony you will be attending.

Graduate Degree Ceremony: Shuttle will leave Millard Circle at 7:30 a.m.
Undergraduate Degree Ceremony: Shuttle will leave Millard Circle at 12:30 p.m.

Shuttles are only available for graduating students and participating faculty; guests will need to provide their own transportation. Parking information for the XL Center can be found on our Commencement FAQ page.

2024 Commencement Speakers

Commencement addresses by two distinguished alumni will be among the highlights of the University of Hartford’s 2024 Commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 12, at downtown Hartford’s XL Center.

Jay Malave M’98, chief financial officer of Lockheed Martin, one of the nation’s leading global security and aerospace companies, will address graduates at the morning ceremony for doctoral and master’s degree recipients. Later that day, UHart’s undergraduate Class of 2024 will hear from Georgia State Senator Sonya Halpern M’90, a persevering advocate for equity and opportunity.
