UHart Looks to "Soar for More” on 10th Annual Day of Giving

Last year’s Day of Giving was the most impactful so far – and this year, UHart is hoping to help our Hawks soar even higher. The University of Hartford’s annual 24-hour fundraising challenge will be held Wednesday, April 2.

Each year the University and alumni communities come together to raise funds for students, and the scholarships and programs that help them make their mark in the world. Last year’s Day of Giving raised $477,595 from 1,518 donors. Their generosity – fueled by 28 challenges and 15 matches offered by donors – helped give the University a boost in areas including financial aid, clubs and organizations, and academic programs.

For this year’s 10th annual event, the University is hoping for 1,700 donors to make an even bigger impact. A gift of any size helps provide each student the opportunity to look forward to a career path, push their limits, and chase their dreams.

Along the way, there’ll be opportunities for students, parents, faculty, staff, and alumni to connect over food and drinks, share stories of UHart, and build the community that makes the University such a special place to be. President Lawrence P. Ward will join in the festivities for the Day of Giving Kickoff Party on Tuesday, April 1.

Still, Hawks know that helping students reach their goals isn’t just a one-day event, but a year-round endeavor. Make your gift early to help build the momentum to make this 10th annual Day of Giving the most successful yet!
