When the last day of class approached in the spring, Lindsay Suter handed out thick Pentel pens and napkins to his Architectural Design III (ADT 244) class. Suter says he did this to reinforce sketching and diagramming to students.
Two of the then-sophomores submitted sketches to the American Institute of Architects CT (AIACT) "Napkin Sketch Award" contest. This is a statewide, competitive competition, where participants take a simple cocktail napkin and apply their sketching skills.
Two students, Jennifer Maldonado ‘26 and Natalia Vicencio ’26 ended up receiving votes, and Natalia even came in first place in the student section. Congratulations to both students on their accomplishments and for representing the UHart architectural design and technology program on a big scale!
