Hartt students will showcase their vocal talents in an upcoming event as part of The Hartt Choirs Fall Choral Concert.
The choirs from The Hartt School are directed by Carolina Flores, who serves as associate professor of Choral Music and director of Choral Activities. The concert will be varied in styles and genres with music from Bulgaria, Brazil, Cuba, Estonia, Spain, and will include works by composers from the mystic Medieval Abbess Hildegard of Bingen and Rennaissance master, Tomás Luis de Victoria, to pieces by Bruckner, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Moses Hogan, Sarah Rimkus, Franz Schubert, Moira Smiley, Eric Whitacre, and more.
This free event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 7:30 p.m., at Christ Church Cathedral in Hartford. Parking is available via garage parking in the MAT garage, adjacent to Hartford State, or free street parking is also available.
