Winter 2024 Inclusive Excellence Online Training

WINTER 2024 INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE ONLINE TRAINING

Fostering a Community of Excellence

As part of our ongoing commitment and work to advance Inclusive excellence, all faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging learning module.

The University continues to partner with Vector Solutions (formerly known as EVERFI) to provide online trainings that will help deepen our understanding of topics vital to achieving our goal of creating classrooms and workplaces that are safe, welcoming, and supportive to our students and colleagues. These trainings are, in addition to being highly interactive and engaging, based in research around best practices for communicating and maintaining healthy relationships with colleagues and students. We see this as one tool, along with a variety of other professional development opportunities available on campus, to increase awareness and understanding. We hope you will participate.

The Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging learning module is designed to meet participants where they are in their learning journey. This course helps participants gain the skills they need to collaborate in an increasingly diverse workforce and cultivate a speak-up, ally culture. It will make important and complex topics such as equity, identity, unconscious bias, and microaggressions both accessible and applicable, and will increase awareness, deepen understanding, and encourage positive action. Please plan for 75 minutes to complete the training. You do not have to complete the training in one session. The program will save your progress and you can pick up where you left off.

You will receive an email from Vector Solutions, an outside party, when the training module is assigned to you. Once assigned, you may access the training directly through this link. Participants will receive a weekly email entitled “Vector LMS, Higher Education Edition Online Training” as a reminder to log in and complete the training.

Thank you for your commitment and participation as we strive to foster an inclusive and safe campus community. Let’s continue on this journey!
