The Hartt Clarinet Ensemble has been invited to perform at ClarinetFest, the International Clarinet Association's annual conference, this July in Fort Worth, Texas. To raise funds to support this opportunity, they will hold a special Benefit Concert at the University of Hartford’s Joseloff Gallery on Thursday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m.
Performing at ClarinetFest will be an invaluable artistic and educational experience for Hartt clarinet students and will bring international recognition to the clarinet program at The Hartt School. In order to attend this prestigious event, the Hartt Clarinet Ensemble needs your support.
The program of the Benefit Concert will feature Mozart's two rarely heard works for clarinet ensemble, among the final pieces he composed near the end of his life, performed by international soloist, Associate Professor of Clarinet Ayako Oshima, and Hartt clarinet students. Additionally, they will play original clarinet ensemble works by American woman composer Amanda Harberg, Japanese composer Satoshi Ipponjima, and more.
The Ensemble appreciates you sharing the details of this event with music lovers outside of the University community.
No tickets required for this event, however there is a suggested donation of $25 per person with additional donations graciously accepted.
