In conjunction with the annual Georgette and Richard Koopman Distinguished Chair in the Visual Arts program and exhibition, the Hartford Art School Endowment, Inc. is pleased to host the Koopman Community Dinner on March 26, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the 1877 Club. The dinner will directly follow Silas Munro’s artist talk being held in Wilde Auditorium at 5 p.m., in which Silas Munro will be in conversation with Bethani Blake, Associate Curator for the African Diaspora at the Wadsworth Athenaeum.
The Koopman Community Dinner is an excellent opportunity to meet the artist, learn about the history of the program as envisioned by Hartford-area philanthropists Richard Koopman and University of Hartford Life Regent Georgette Koopman, and hear directly from faculty and students about the ways this visiting artist endowment has made an impact on their education at the Hartford Art School.
Reservations for the dinner are required; please contact Board Manager Amanda Lusteg at lusteg@hartford.edu to reserve your seat. The cost of the dinner is $40 for Board/community members or $10 for UHart students, faculty, or staff w/ valid ID. If you cannot attend, please consider sponsoring a student from the Fall and Spring Koopman classes for $10!
The exhibition and associated programming are made possible by the Georgette and Richard Koopman Distinguished Chair in the Visual Arts fund held by Hartford Art School Endowment, Inc.
