Set Delivery times for Amazon and other accounts
Amazon often delivers packages outside of our mailroom operating hours. This means your order may be left unattended outside of the mailroom or buildings. The mailroom is not responsible for items left unattended. To mitigate the loss and or theft of Amazon packages, we suggest you do the following:
Set Delivery Hours and Instructions
- From your Amazon account page, select “your addresses”
- Select your University of Hartford Address
- Select “add delivery instructions”
- For the address type, select “Business”
- Under “When is this address open for deliveries?” select Monday–Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Select “closed for deliveries” for both Saturday and Sunday.
- Under “Can this address receive deliveries on federal holidays?” select NO
- For “Where should we leave your packages at this address?” select “mailroom or property staff”
- Save your changes to "Package Tracking. "
If you’re expecting a package and tracking it through the carrier’s website, please note that just because it shows as “delivered” does not mean the package is available for pickup.
You must wait for the Mail Staff to process the package. When processing is completed, you will receive an email that your package is in the mailroom or the Konover Lockers.
Our goal is to have the day’s deliveries processed and ready for pickup by 3 p.m. each day. On days of exceptionally high volume, you should anticipate some delays.
Konover Lockers
The Konover smart lockers have been installed at the back of the Konover Campus Center. They are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you cannot pick up your package at the Mail Services window, you may request us to move it to the Konover lockers at the end of the day. You must email chrkane@hartford.edu by noon. If lockers are available, we will make every effort to fulfill this request.
