Hillyer College Associate Professor of Psychology and Human Services Noel Casiano, PsyD, is serving as Honorary Ambassador for the Greater Hartford Puerto Rican Parade on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 1 p.m.
Presented by the Connecticut Institute for Community Development Puerto Rican Parade, Inc., (CIDC), the parade and the 2024 Festival del Coqui that follows in the Bushnell Park Pavilion, will feature the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors of Puerto Rican culture. According to the CIDC, the parade features nearly 3,000 marching participants and is the largest parade in the City of Hartford and the Hartford region.
“I am both humbled and super excited about this honor and to march alongside the many other Puerto Rican community leaders in our state,” says Casiano, who is also making remarks at the parade’s flag raising ceremonies at Hartford City Hall and the State Capitol on Thursday, Sept. 19.
