The Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion will host its 16th Annual Helping Hawks Day of Service on Friday, April 4. We implore students, alumni, faculty, and staff to participate in this day of service! We will be working with the following volunteer sites.
- Journey Home which helps families into more stable housing, assisting with furniture moving & organization
- Levo International Inc. allows volunteers to use hydroponic gardens to feed the greater Hartford community!
- The NOSH food pantry provides food for those in need on our campus, whether staff, students, or outside community members!
- Our community garden which is used by our campus community to promote local food production!
- Campus beautification that enhances our campus, whether from landscaping, litter removal, or general maintenance!
- Hartford City Mission which encourages the support of local programs and improves community spaces!
Transportation will be provided to each service site as well a free T-shirt, breakfast and lunch! Service will be between the hours of 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
