A group of six Barney students recently traveled to San Francisco for the DECA CICDC (International Career Development Conference) that is held annually. This is the club’s fourth year in attendance.
At the conference, members are invited to compete in a case study or prepared event in either entrepreneurship, marketing, management/administration, hospitality and tourism, or finance. This year, they even made some rankings as finalists.
-
In his first year attending CICDC, freshman Jared Colan ‘28 was awarded 2nd place in his individual case study for financial accounting.
-
Dedicated member of the DECA organization since high school, Caroline Koziol ‘27 placed 5th in her individual case study for hotel and lodging.
-
Andrew Julius ‘26, who has been to CICDC twice now, was awarded a medal for being a top performer on his finance exam.
Congratulations to the winners and group as a whole!
