Barney Hosts Supply Chain & Logistics Management Networking Night

The Supply Chain &  Logistics Management Program hosted a networking event & keynote speaker in April. The topic presented was building antifragile supply chains. This topic is important in today's rapidly changing global landscape where the ability to adapt and recover from supply chain disruptions has never been more vital for businesses. Our speaker, Anna McGovern, explored innovative strategies, technologies, and best practices that will assist supply chains move to an antifragile state where improvement can be had in times of uncertainty and volatility.  Students and industry professionals joined the session to network and listen to the keynote address. Anna also had a book signing at this event as she recently released her book "Antifragile Supply Chains: Building Resilience through Better Strategy and Stronger Relationships." 

Anna is an accomplished Global Supply Chain and Procurement Executive Leader and Practitioner. As a Chief Supply Chain Officer and CPO, she has worked in consumer-packaged goods, beauty, cosmetics, industrials and the nonprofit sectors. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies, like Unilever, Arcade Beauty, and Uniroyal Technologies (now Spartech). Anna brings front line experience across functions – planning, sourcing / procurement, manufacturing, and logistics. She has local, regional, and global experience integrating business and supply chain strategies for maximum results. As an advisor, strategist, and subject matter expert, she excels at building relationships and bringing people together to drive win/win solutions and accelerating results across the value chain.
