Leave Report Lockdown for New Fiscal Year

As the Summer term begins and the current Fiscal Year comes to a close, the Payroll Office would like to remind Exempt employees that leave reports will be locked down while the University closes the FY and prepares the upcoming FY beginning in July.

Leave reports for both June pay periods, as well as the first pay period of July, will all be locked down between June 25 and July 14. Please mark your calendars for leave reporting requirements based on the following details:

For both June pay periods, June 1–15 and June 16–30, all leave and PTO must be submitted in Self-Service before June 25. These should be fully submitted to a Pending status for supervisor approval. Supervisors will have until June 27 to approve for both pay periods. Employees and supervisors should work proactively to ensure these are submitted and approved on a timely basis.

For the first July pay, the first leave report of the new Fiscal Year will not be available until July 14. It will be advisable to plan to record all time taken between July 1–15 and plan to enter and submit the time on the leave report on July 14. Supervisors will have a normal timeframe after July 14 to review and approve that leave report once it's available.

All non-exempt and exempt vacation balances will take time to refresh after the start of the new Fiscal Year. The Payroll Department asks your patience as we update these records. If, by the July 15, your vacation and personal time banks have not been updated, please feel free to reach out ot Payroll at that time.
