Harrison Libraries hosted its third annual Summer Story & Puppet Showtime on Tuesday, July 22.
About 20 young campers and their counselors listened to children’s classics: older, newer, and classics-to-be including Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendek, The Pigeon HAS to Go To School by Mo Willems, The Kindergarten Hat by Janet Lawler, and One by Kathryn Othoshi.
The campers took a few breaks including a yoga stretch and then settled in for the grand finale, Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson followed by a puppet show performance of that story where the campers were invited to snore with the bear and howl with the wind.
Campers, councilors, attendees, and readers alike all enjoyed the program which was presented in the ‘west end’ of the main floor of Harrison Libraries.
