Winter Research Connections: Faculty Networking Event for Scholarship & Professional Productivity

As part of Professional Development Wednesday and sponsored by the Faculty Engagement and Retention Committee, join us for a collaborative winter gathering to connect, share, and showcase your work!

Date: Wednesday, Feb.11
Time: 11:30 p.m.–12:30 p.m.
Location: Commons PDR

This event is designed for faculty to:

  • Showcase your in-progress work and share what you’re currently working on
  • Discover collaboration opportunities across disciplines
  • Highlight your needs (students, grants, partners, etc.)

Interested in participating? Here’s what to do:

  1. Sign up here
  2. Create an 8x11 flyer about your work (see attached example), please include:
    • Your name, department, email
    • Current projects and needs (student assistants, partners, resources)
    • A QR code linking to more info (your bio or a short video) 
  3. If you can’t attend in person, send your flyer in advance to Jess Nicklin at nicklin@hartford.edu and your work will be shared.

*Note, this is not a formal poster presentation, and you are not expected to present. This is an opportunity to connect with your colleagues before and after the event.

So, sign up, make a flyer, show up, and grab a $5 lunch! Then, attend a professional development opportunity at 12:45 p.m.

All faculty are welcome and encouraged to attend, whether or not you prepare a flyer!
