Following 15 years of teaching distinction at Berkeley College in New York City, Kristin Comeforo joined the School of Communication. Kristin earned her PhD in Communication at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey; her MBA in Global Marketing at Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management; and a Bachelor’s of Science in Management Studies at the State University of New York, College at Geneseo. She adds to this academic background several years of industry experience, playing a variety of roles in the field of Marketing Communications.
Dr. Comeforo is known for her down to earth, practical teaching style, which engages students through current events and hands-on learning. She enjoys teaching courses in Advertising Strategy, Digital & Social Media, along with traditional Media Planning, and Branding. Her research includes publication of several case studies on both new media, and historical pieces. She is most proud of her work on the economic and ethical intersection concerning the LGBTQ community as a market, and the representation of the community in mainstream advertising.
A maker and a breaker of rules, Kristin is known at home as an avid follower of recipes; and will quickly become known on campus for her unique vintage fashion sensibility that boldly mixes patterns and colors. She is also a die-hard Mets and Jets fan, and is therefore filled with a constant sadness.
