Mehmet Dede is an internationally recognized, award-winning Music Curator, Festival Producer and Tour Promoter with over 20 years of experience in the culture space. Dede has collaborated with Lincoln Center, Central Park SummerStage, Kennedy Center and serves the music community since 2010 as Director of Artistic Programming at Manhattan club Drom, “NY’s premiere venue for world music” (Wall St. Journal). Dede collaborates with world-class international artists to introduce them to US audiences, while advising cultural organizations in France, Hungary, Poland and Romania. He is also the curator of the annual NY Gypsy Fest.
Dede is quoted in WSJ, Forbes, Rolling Stone and Voice of America and is a keynote speaker, panelist, and jury member for international conferences. He is the recipient of the 2021 globalFEST Impact Award and the Belle K. Ribicoff Prize, the highest honor for junior faculty at the University of Hartford. A professional member of the Recording Academy, Dede is also an alumnus of Leadership Music in Nashville.
Dede is a Fulbright and Erasmus+ awardee.
