The University’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Jamie Bamber (Skowyra), has accepted an offer to return to Nichols College as Vice President for Business and Finance and Chief Financial Officer.
Jamie joined UHart in February 2023, during at time of transition at Nichols. She has been an asset to the University of Hartford in her time here, stabilizing financial operations and strengthening confidence in our financial management capabilities. She also has taken on oversight of significant administrative operations including facilities, information technology, legal, and payroll.
“I am disappointed that I will not have the chance to work closely with Jamie,” said President Lawrence P. Ward. “However, I respect and support her decision to return to a familiar role that is much closer to her home. I would like to personally thank her for sharing her expertise in service to our institution and community.”
President Ward is working with the Board of Regents to develop an interim leadership plan, while evaluating priorities and responsibilities. Jamie’s last day will be September 5. A leadership update will be provided to the campus community soon.
