Our Mission
Creating a home for Jewish life, learning, and growth, Chabad Chevra fosters Jewish identity and pride at the University of Hartford and beyond. Rooted in kindness and the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, we embrace everyone with unconditional love, fostering community, inclusion, and personal growth. Guiding Principles:
-
Ahavat Yisrael: Unconditional love and unity among all.
-
Torah Study: The core of our intellectual and spiritual growth.
-
Open-Door Environment: A welcoming space for all backgrounds.
Rabbi Yosef & Dalia Kulek
Emissaries of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef B. Kulek and his wife Dalia are dedicated to creating a warm and inclusive space for all students. Inspired by the Rebbe's teachings, they work to foster unity, love, and respect for all, regardless of background. As a biracial rabbi and first-generation American, their unique backgrounds shape their mission to spread the Rebbe’s vision of diversity, inclusion, and community. Together with their seven children, they provide a "home away from home" at the University of Hartford.
