
The University of Hartford’s Rogow Distinguished Visiting Lecturer Program, in collaboration with the Office for Inclusive Excellence and Belonging, is thrilled to present the Spring lecture:
“Disability & Innovation: The Universal Benefits of Inclusive Design”
Wednesday, April 9, at 5 p.m., in Wilde Auditorium
Guest Speaker, Haben Girma is a human rights lawyer, disability advocate, and author of Haben: The Deafblind Woman Who Conquered Harvard Law, about her experience as the first Deafblind woman to graduate from Harvard Law School. Girma believes disability is an opportunity for innovation. She travels the world teaching organizations the importance of choosing inclusion and encouraging people to advocate for change in their communities.
The Rogow Distinguished Visiting Lecturer Series works to bring celebrated authors, journalists, historians, academics, and artists to the Greater Hartford area.
This lecture is open to the public and will be presented in a hybrid format (in person and live-streamed) for those with accessibility needs.
