Updated Tuition Exchange Policy & Application Process

The University of Hartford has updated its Tuition Exchange (TE) Policy and Procedures for faculty and staff. The revised policy is attached, and we encourage all interested employees to review it carefully.

Application Process (Exporting a Dependent)

Faculty and staff who wish to have a dependent considered for Tuition Exchange for the 2026–27 academic year must ensure the following steps are completed:

  1. Student Completes the EZ Application
    • Go to www.tuitionexchange.org.
    • Create a student account and complete the EZ Application.
    • Select University of Hartford as the exporting institution.
    • Choose up to 10 TE-participating schools where the student intends to apply.
    • Submit the application by October 1, 2025 (the year prior to intended enrollment).
  2. University of Hartford Review
    • The Office of Admission & Financial Aid will review applications in line with the updated TE Policy.
    • Faculty and staff will be notified once the University has completed its certification process.

Important Reminders

  • Tuition Exchange is not the same as the University’s tuition remission benefit.
  • Participation is competitive and not guaranteed. Certification by the University of Hartford does not ensure acceptance or award at the importing institution.
