Hillyer College Associate Dean and Professor Noel Casiano has been selected by Latino De Oro as one of the 50 Outstanding Latinos of Connecticut for 2025. The recognition is based on his achievements in education and outstanding contributions to the Latino community in Connecticut in trauma and substance abuse treatment. Casiano will be honored at a ceremony at West Hartford City Hall on Oct. 9.

“I continue to dedicate my educational and professional career to advance the health and well-being of my Latino community,” says Casiano. “I am proud to be recognized and look forward to continuing my scholarship and professional clinical work.”

The Latino de Oro awards were created in 2005 to recognize Latino and non-Latino individuals whose professional accomplishments have made a positive contribution to the Latino community.

On Sept. 12, Casiano will also be honored at The Bushnell, when he is recognized as one of Connecticut’s 100 Men of Color.
