Students in the CETA’s Aerospace Engineering program recently took their classroom learning to new heights during a visit to the New England Air Museum. The trip was part of ME 464P – Aircraft Design and Analysis, which introduces the fundamentals of aircraft design, including the design processes of fixed-wing aircraft, vertical lift aircraft, and clean energy integration.
Guided by a dedicated tour guide, the group explored the evolution of aircraft design, gaining valuable historical context that complements the students’ ongoing design projects.
“It was a wonderful visit,” said Professor Paul Slaboch, who led the trip. The visit reflects UHart’s hands-on approach to engineering education, giving students opportunities to apply their skills beyond the classroom.
