Join us for a Barney Thought Leader event with Carrie Casciani, Partner, KPMG LLP. It will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 6 to 7 p.m. in Auerbach Hall 238.

Carrie Casciani is a Partner with KPMG LLP, where she leads the firm’s National Audit Growth Enablement practice and works closely with boards of directors, audit committees, and senior executives on issues at the intersection of governance, risk, and sustainability. She has over 25 years of experience providing audit and advisory services across the insurance, banking, and healthcare sectors, with a strong focus on corporate responsibility, ESG reporting, and governance frameworks that enhance stakeholder trust. In her role, Carrie helps organizations strengthen their ESG strategies, navigate evolving regulatory expectations, and embed sustainability into long-term business performance. 

Prior to rejoining KPMG, Carrie served as Chief Audit Executive and Chief Risk Officer at Cigna, a Fortune 15 company. In that capacity, she advised the Audit Committee and executive leadership on enterprise risks and led global teams across internal audit, enterprise risk management, business continuity, and special investigations. She played a central role in modernizing Cigna’s assurance and risk functions, including advancing ESG reporting and governance practices.

Carrie also contributes her expertise in governance through nonprofit board service, including current roles with Boston Children’s Hospital and The Village for Families and Children.
