
In recognition of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we are honored to invite you to the official unveiling of the Indigenous Garden—a space dedicated to honoring the land and contributions of
Indigenous peoples' past, present, and future.
Date: Monday, Oct. 13
Time: 1 p.m.–1:30 p.m.
Location: GSU lawn
The garden was created by Amplifying Indigenous Voices in collaboration with their various supporters. The garden features native plants, and the ceremony will include:
- Local Indigenous musician, Mixashawn
- Blessing from Clan Mother of Golden Hill Paugussett tribe
- Reading of the Land Acknowledgment
We encourage all students, staff, faculty, and community members to join us in honoring this important day and the opening of this meaningful space on our campus.
