CETA Fall 2025 Speaker Series

CETA will host their fall 2025 Speaker Series on Wednesday, Nov. 19, offering students an evening of professional development and insight into the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence. Attendees are asked to arrive at 4:50 p.m. in HC 216 (Makerspace), where a light snack of pizza and drinks will be available.

The program begins at 5 p.m. with a professional development workshop led by Sumayya Ayoub from the Allan Center for Career and Professional Development. Ayoub will guide students through Career Ready Checklists and the principles of effective professional communication—tools designed to help emerging engineers and technologists prepare for internships, co-ops, and full-time opportunities.

From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the event will feature keynote speaker Halvard Eggen, Vice President of Product Strategy at Cognite. In his talk, Building Impactful Software in the Age of AI, Eggen will explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way modern software products are created. He will discuss rapid prototyping, live experimentation, and data-driven decision making, offering students a behind-the-scenes look at how Cognite uses AI to innovate across some of the world’s most complex industries. The session will also highlight what these technological shifts mean for the next generation of product leaders.

Students are encouraged to RSVP for CETA Speaker Series #1 F’25 and take advantage of this opportunity to learn, connect, and prepare for their future careers.
