REVISED: Due to weather, the University will open today at 1:30 p.m. Classes will begin at 2 p.m.. All classes starting at or after 2 p.m. will meet as scheduled. Classes of 90 minutes or less starting before 2 p.m. will not meet in person. Classes longer than 90 minutes that usually start at 2 p.m. will meet at 2 p.m. if 50 or more percent of the scheduled class time remains. WHAT IT ALL MEANS. Online and remote courses are not affected by campus closings and will meet as scheduled. Please note that when a campus closing prevents an in-person class from meeting at its scheduled time, professors may opt to conduct classes or provide assignments online. Students who are unable to move out by 8 a.m. on Dec. 18 please read:

If your travel plans make it difficult for you to move out by 8 a.m. on Dec. 18, no worries—just let us know! Please see the information below and complete the request form so we can help support your plans. Be sure to fill out the form fully so we have all the information we need.

Registering for Late Departure:
  • Students should access their Housing Portal through Self-Service
  • Once logged into the Housing Portal, student should navigate to the Applications tab
  • There you should see the 2025–26 application and the winter 2026 application.
    • Click the "Apply" for the winter 2026 application
  • Select the "Late Stay" option from the drop down list of reasons why winter housing is needed.
  • Fill out the dates you will need to stay until* and the reason why they need to stay beyond Dec. 18.

*The latest students can stay is 10 a.m. on Dec. 21
