CETA Professor Saleh Keshawarz presented a paper at the 2025 International Conference on Advancing a Sustainable Future (ICASF) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The paper emphasized the impacts of the Qosh Tepa Irrigation Canal in northern Afghanistan on the water resources of neighboring countries. It was noted that these adverse effects could be managed through improved water management and upgrades to water conveyance systems, on-farm and off-farm water management, and better data sharing and communication, among other measures, thereby reducing their impact.
