As our next semester is underway, we are looking ahead to the next talk in the Auerbach Lecture Series. The next talk is presented by Shae Bishop, and hosted by the ceramics department. His talk "Ceramic Wear," will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 2:30 p.m.
The lecture will be held in Wilde Auditorium, and is free and open to the public.
ABOUT SHAE BISHOP
Shae Bishop creates wearable ceramic and mixed-media garments, interweaving history and personal experience. Bishop grew up in Kentucky and received a BFA in Ceramics and Art History at the Kansas City Art Institute. His artist residencies include Kohler Arts/Industry and the Archie Bray Foundation, as well as programs in Austria, Hungary, Turkey, Indonesia, and Japan. Bishop has exhibited work at the Penland Gallery, the Kohler Arts Center, Belger Arts, Visions West Gallery, and elsewhere. He co-founded Treats Studios in North Carolina and is now based in Richmond, Virginia.
