HCD to Offer First Steps in Music Classes Free for Faculty & Staff

HCD will continue to offer faculty and staff First Steps in Music class this winter for free. The class will meet on Fridays beginning on Jan. 16 from 9:30 a.m.–10:15 a.m.

Come and make music with Miss Mallory at First Steps in Music! This program is for children ages 0-5 and their grown-ups. Children and adults are engaged in a variety of activities, including bounces, finger wiggles, action songs, vocal exploration, movement exploration, playing instruments, ball rolling, and more! First Steps in Music is a wonderful opportunity for children to have fun, interact with other children, and bond with their grown-up, all while beginning their journey to becoming tuneful, “beat-ful”, and artful.

This program is taught by Mallory Kokus. She is a FAME Certified First Steps in Music teacher, a professional musician, and mother of three. Mallory is a faculty member of the Hartt Community Division, where she is instructor of saxophone and instructor of First Steps in Music.
