The Office of Inclusive Excellence and Belonging and the MLK Observance Planning Committee are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 MLK Beloved Community Awards. These awards are presented to students, faculty, staff, and alumni who honor and exemplify Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s beloved community by:
- Working hard to improve and exemplify the principles of diversity and equity to advance a culture of inclusion and belonging
- Making a positive difference in the lives of others
- Paying forward their work in various ways that supports the many cultures at UHart
- Committing to research and/or activities that engage and challenge racism and expand diversity, equity, and inclusion at UHart
- Organizing, conducting, and/or supporting programs, events, and activities that promote an understanding of different cultures
The 2026 MLK Beloved Community Awards will be presented during the annual MLK Observance Program on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 12:45 p.m, in Lincoln Theater.
