REVISED: Due to weather, the University will open today at 1:30 p.m. Classes will begin at 2 p.m.. All classes starting at or after 2 p.m. will meet as scheduled. Classes of 90 minutes or less starting before 2 p.m. will not meet in person. Classes longer than 90 minutes that usually start at 2 p.m. will meet at 2 p.m. if 50 or more percent of the scheduled class time remains. WHAT IT ALL MEANS. Online and remote courses are not affected by campus closings and will meet as scheduled. Please note that when a campus closing prevents an in-person class from meeting at its scheduled time, professors may opt to conduct classes or provide assignments online. 2026–27 Student Ambassador Application for A&S and Hillyer College

The College of Arts & Sciences and Hillyer College seeks a team of enthusiastic student ambassadors to represent the college and their academic programs (e.g., Biology, Cinema, Criminal Justice) at admission and recruitment events, as well as during personal campus visits throughout the fall and spring semesters. As an ambassador, your role is to engage prospective students and their families and help immerse them in what the University of Hartford has to offer. Ambassadors are encouraged to share their personal experiences, academic journey, and co-curricular opportunities to provide an authentic and honest perspective of student life. Prospective students value connecting with current students to gain real insight into the university experience. 

Serving as an ambassador is an opportunity to build valuable professional and leadership skills while representing your academic program and the University of Hartford. Ambassadors gain experience in public speaking, communication, and networking, and develop resume-ready skills through meaningful interactions with prospective students and families. This role allows you to share your story, grow your confidence, and play a key role in welcoming future members of our campus community. This is a voluntary position. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Endorsement from a full-time faculty member within your major
