Through the support of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, we are offering a $1,000 grant to assist students experiencing hardship and who could benefit from additional financial support.
Students interested in being considered must submit a short narrative explaining why receiving this additional $1,000 would be helpful to them at this time. Narratives should be submitted through the scholarship portal under additional questions 'Student Financial Aid.'
Eligibility Criteria:

Student must currently be enrolled full-time for the 2025–26 academic year

Have an official 2025–26 FAFSA on file

Be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Student must reside in one of the 29 towns served by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, including: Andover, Avon, Bloomfield, Bolton, Canton, East Granby, East Hartford, East Windsor, Ellington, Enfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Granby, Hartford, Hebron, Manchester, Marlborough, Newington, Rocky Hill, Simsbury, Somers, South Windsor, Suffield, Tolland, Vernon, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor, or Windsor Locks
Complete 'My Scholarship Profile' and then go to 'Additonal Questions' to select 'Student Financial Aid' and submit short narrative in the box provided.
