This past Sunday, March 8, University of Hartford students Jasmin Enriquez ’27Hannah Linhart ’28Andrew Rittenberg ’27, and Thomas Yonkers ’27, attended the Mathematics Continued Conference at the University of Connecticut, an annual event that introduces undergraduates to advanced study and research in the mathematical sciences. The conference featured engaging, undergraduate-level talks across a wide range of topics, along with panel discussions led by graduate students and faculty.

UHart students were enthusiastic about the opportunity to explore current mathematical research in a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment. Conversations with presenters and peers offered valuable insight into graduate school and career pathways, while also fostering a strong sense of academic community and shared purpose.

The students’ participation was guided by Professor Anastasiia Minenkova from Department of Mathematics, whose dedicated mentorship played a key role in encouraging students to engage fully in the conference experience. Through her guidance, students were able to connect classroom learning with broader research opportunities and gain confidence in exploring advanced academic paths.

These experiences exemplify the University of Hartford’s commitment to undergraduate scholarship and academic excellence. Under the mentorship of dedicated faculty, UHart students continue to expand their academic horizons, deepen their enthusiasm for mathematics, and prepare to make meaningful contributions to their fields.
