Professor Anastasiia Minenkova from Department of Mathematics recently participated in the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Mathematical Problems in Industry (MPI) Workshop, where researchers collaborated with industry partners to tackle real-world challenges through mathematical modeling, computation, and analysis. A particular focus of efforts of the team she was a part of was advancing work on the audio communication problem, engaging with experts across disciplines to develop new ideas and approaches.

Following the workshop, Professor Minenkova attended the SIAM Annual Meeting in Cleveland, where she presented two talks showcasing her latest research and a take on teaching linear algebra. In addition to sharing her work, she connected with colleagues from across academia and industry, strengthening existing collaborations and exploring new opportunities for future research.

The combination of collaborative problem-solving at MPI and scholarly exchange at the SIAM Annual Meeting provided valuable opportunities to expand both research impact and professional networks. Through her active participation and contributions, Professor Minenkova helped highlight the innovative research done at our university community.
