At the recent 2026 Connecticut Art Directors Club (CADC) annual awards event (its 50th annual event), nearly two dozen members of the UHart community won awards for their creative contributions and projects. The University of Hartford’s H Magazine cover also received a silver award, designed and produced by the Office of Marketing and Communication (OMC).
Serendipitously—but also a fitting testament of all the talents involved—all UHart winners received silver awards in their respective categories.
This event recognizes excellence from the creative community across the state. For a number of years, current students and alumni from the Hartford Art School have walked away with numerous awards, and faculty members have also been honored. This year Animation and Game Art faculty member David Calebrese received a judges award.
Additionally, nearly two dozen HAS students and alumni were honored for their contributions, including students/alumni with majors in Animation and Game Art, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design.
Alicia Post Lindstadt, Senior Director of Brand and Creative, was in attendance at the awards event, and received the silver award for OMC’s H Magazine cover. She says “this issue celebrates our connections to the Hartford community and expanding partnerships with area companies. The cover design features a City of Hartford map, with UHart's campus under the H, and was printed with a texture spot varnish to add visual and tactile interest and make the lines pop.”
