The College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions (ENHP) is excited to welcome its newest faculty members! These talented educators bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and passion to the classroom, strengthening our programs and helping prepare the next generation of professionals in education and healthcare.
Francis Corr, assistant professor of special education, joins UHart from the University of Virginia, where he is completing his Ph.D. in special education. His background includes special education, applied behavior analysis, classroom and behavior management, autism, and support for students with disabilities. Francis also brings meaningful experience working with young children and their families. As a research assistant at the University of Virginia, he helped co-develop an early childhood functional behavior assessment model with school leaders and teachers. He has also worked with families of children with autism spectrum disorder and rare genetic disorders through parent coaching and structured intervention programs. His teaching, research, and applied experience will be a valuable addition to ENHP’s special education program.
Paul Creech, visiting clinical/applied assistant professor of radiologic technologies, is entering his second year at UHart and brings decades of experience in healthcare education to the classroom. Before joining UHart, Creech spent more than 30 years teaching radiologic and health sciences at Capital Community College, where he served as a program director and department chair. His professional background in Nuclear Medicine and Radiologic Technology has given him firsthand experience in the fast-paced healthcare environment. A licensed Connecticut attorney, Creech also brings expertise in health law, policy, and economics and has taught courses in business and law. He is passionate about helping students develop the knowledge, professionalism, and compassion needed to care for patients and make a difference in their communities. Outside of the classroom, Creech enjoys spending time with his four granddaughters, who he says make his role as “papa” his favorite.
Marjorie “Marge” Jackson, clinical applied professor of education, has been a member of the UHart community since 2015 and brings extensive experience in teaching, teacher education, academic strategies, and educational leadership. Before joining UHart, she spent 34 years with Hartford Public Schools, serving as a teacher and school administrator, including as a principal. Marge’s teaching and scholarship focus on mindfulness, student agency, critical and creative thinking, and strategies that promote academic success. She developed the Mindful Learning Framework to foster student engagement, resilience, and success. Her commitment to educational equity and the dignity of every learner continues to shape her work with students.
Jaeeun Lee, assistant professor of exercise science, joins UHart from the University of Connecticut, where she served as a postdoctoral scholar and adjunct professor in nutritional sciences. She holds a Ph.D. and B.S. in food and nutrition from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, and brings expertise in nutritional biochemistry, sport nutrition, and metabolic disease research. Her research explores how nutrition, dietary compounds, and exercise influence metabolic health, inflammation, liver health, and mitochondrial function. Her expertise will strengthen UHart’s Exercise Science program by connecting nutrition, exercise, disease prevention, health, and athletic performance.
