Olivia Heui Young Park, PhD, Assistant Professor of Acoustical Engineering in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture, was invited to speak at the Michigan Technological University's Acoustical Society of America (ASA) Chapter meeting virtually, on Oct. 8.
As part of their series "Hear Us Out," Dr. Park showcased research being conducted by her lab at the Unversity of Hartford, the Hartford Engineering Acoustics & Auditory Reserach (HEA2R) Laboratory. The talk consisted of the recent and current projects at the HEA2R Lab, potential collaborations with Michigan Tech, and inspiration or future events at Michigan Tech and and the University of Hartford.
Several of the attendees will be at various conferences throughout this academic year, and were encouraged to come see the specific projects' presentations. Dr. Park will be presenting at the Acosutical Society of America meeting in December, and her two students, Nathan Comeau and Anthony Pomares (AEM '28), have had their abstract accepted to present on their research as well. Dr. Park and her other students also plan on presenting at Noise-Con 2027.
