First Year advisor meeting with student

The advisors at the Center for Student Success are dedicated to providing guidance in areas such as academic support, first-year advising, mental health and wellness, study skills, financial questions, and more.

UHart is designed so that individuals with diverse interests and passions can find their stories alongside one another. Students can explore new clubs and organizations, Greek Life, multicultural programs, student government, religious organizations, community service, commuter association, and more.

We are committed to the physical and mental well-being of all members of the campus community. We offer many services, including important medical care, specialized services, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Public Safety, Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, and more.

At UHart, we strive to educate students on our shared community standards and values within the Student Code of Conduct. HAWKS, Honesty, Advocacy, Wellness, Knowledge, and Safety, outlines the role each of us has to be responsible members of our vibrant community.

Honesty

At UHart, Hawks uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity in all aspects of university life. We value academic integrity, ethical decision-making, and transparency in our actions. Honesty means taking responsibility for our work, communicating truthfully, and respecting the trust placed in us by our peers, faculty, and staff. By fostering a culture of integrity, we create an environment where everyone can learn, grow, and succeed together.

Advocacy

Hawks stand up for one another and champion the values of respect, inclusion, and equity. Advocacy means using our voices to support and uplift others, challenging discrimination, and taking action to create a welcoming and just community. We commit to fostering a respectful community, speaking out against harassment or intimidation, and ensuring that every student feels safe and valued. Together, we build a campus where all voices are heard, and every individual can thrive.

Wellness

UHart Hawks prioritize wellness in all its forms—physical, mental, and emotional. We promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle by making responsible choices, supporting one another, and utilizing campus resources to maintain well-being. Whether it’s through responsible substance use, respectful relationships, or proactive self-care, we recognize that personal and community wellness is key to a successful and fulfilling college experience.

Knowledge

Lifelong learning is a core value of the Hawk community. Knowledge is more than just academic achievement—it’s about curiosity, responsibility, and the pursuit of personal and intellectual growth. We embrace opportunities to expand our understanding, engage in meaningful discussions, and uphold an environment that values respect, open-mindedness, and continuous learning. By committing to knowledge, we prepare ourselves to be informed and engaged citizens, both on campus and beyond.

Safety

Hawks look out for one another. A safe community is built on respect, accountability, and awareness of how our actions impact others. We commit to fostering an environment free from violence, intimidation, and harm. By following safety protocols, reporting concerns, and making responsible choices, we ensure that UHart remains a secure and welcoming space for all. Together, we take flight toward a future where every Hawk feels protected and supported.

Stay Active
