We are free and open to the public—a hub for everyone in the community to gather, learn, and imagine through art.

Coming Soon: MEANDERS / MEANDRE

May 30 – June 28, 2025

MEANDERS / MEANDRE is an exhibition organized by RoArtConn, a workgroup of Romanian artists collaborating to increase the visibility of the artistic contributions and achievements made by Romanian artists in America. The exhibition focuses on the theme of meandering. The curators write, “What experiences mold and erode our paths? What do we carry with us, what do we leave behind? What journeys have marked us, unfolding in our art?”

Through works of varied scale and media, this group of Romanian-born artists practicing in the Northeast U.S. and in Romania invites the audience to step into the space where our paths unfold together. Using structure and pattern, binding or flowing geometries, shifts in rhythm and dimension, existing and new work will frame the journey as the destination. MEANDERS includes work that connects the artists across the geographies and time of their individual practices, from specific cultural roots, real places and characters, to stories, fantasy, and immersive assemblies of color and pattern.

MEANDERS / MEANDRE is the second public show organized by the RoArtconn group. It is a stage for renewed collaborations and new explorations in divergence and affinity.

There will be an opening reception on Friday, May 30 from 6-8 p.m. and artist talks on Saturday, June 21, from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
