Enriching the lives of Jewish students at UHart.
The Zachs Hillel Center offers Jewish college students an inclusive, pluralistic and egalitarian environment through which they connect to Jewish life, learning and Israel.
With construction completed in November 2024, the newly created Zachs Hillel Center is UHart's dedicated hub for Jewish life on campus. The Zachs Hillel Center is more than just a center; it is a home for our students to gather, learn, celebrate, and grow together. It is a place where Jewish life at the University of Hartford can flourish like never before, thanks to the generosity of the Zachs family and supporters like you.
About the Center
The Zachs Hillel Center features a large, multipurpose space to be used for health and wellness programming, meetings, social events, and community programming. The Kosher kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, and stainless steel counters, is a dairy/pareve kitchen used for small gatherings, cooking demonstrations, holiday meal observations, and special events.
The Center also includes a lounge space for students to congregate and spend time between classes or in their down time. The lounge includes modular furniture, a large TV with gaming systems and streaming options, and snack offerings.

Your Support Makes a Difference!
A successful center is welcoming and promotes inclusivity, growth, and flexibility. Establishing this new Zachs Hillel Center on campus allows us to achieve these goals in a broader and deeper way. The center provides a space for our current students to enhance their connection to the Zachs Hillel Center, and the visibility of the location on the residential side of campus will attract new students to our programming.
We welcome the chance to talk with you further about how your support can make a difference for our students and for UHart's Zachs Hillel Center.
