REVISED: Due to weather, the University will open today at 1:30 p.m. Classes will begin at 2 p.m.. All classes starting at or after 2 p.m. will meet as scheduled. Classes of 90 minutes or less starting before 2 p.m. will not meet in person. Classes longer than 90 minutes that usually start at 2 p.m. will meet at 2 p.m. if 50 or more percent of the scheduled class time remains. WHAT IT ALL MEANS. Online and remote courses are not affected by campus closings and will meet as scheduled. Please note that when a campus closing prevents an in-person class from meeting at its scheduled time, professors may opt to conduct classes or provide assignments online. Fun. Vibrant. Reuniting. Coachella meets campus pride. 
Hawktoberfest is a lively, once-a-year celebration where alumni, parents, and students come together for a weekend packed with energy. From showstopping student performances to obstacle courses, art sales, festival games, and more, it’s the ultimate campus reunion. 
This year, SGA is looking for a bold, unforgettable logo that captures the Hawktoberfest spirit and becomes the official visual for the event. Think of festival flair, vibrant colors, and an atmosphere that feels like a Coachella-style celebration, complete with eight incredible performances and endless community fun. 
Your Mission

Design a Hawktoberfest logo that:
  • Is creative and unique
  • Captures the energy and unity of students, alumni, and families coming together
  • Feels fun, bold, and instantly recognizable
  • \Works across print, digital, and merchandise (shirts, banners, etc.)
  • Fits the “vibrant campus festival” theme 
You can submit one or multiple designs exploring different styles or color palettes. 
Guidelines: 
  • Submissions must be original artwork created by the student 
  • Digital designs preferred (vector formats), but hand-drawn designs will be accepted if high-quality scans are provided 
  • Logo must be adaptable for both large banners and small merchandise 
  • Colors should be bold, vibrant, and print-friendly 
  • No AI-generated artwork will be accepted
