In his first year, President Lawrence P. Ward has led the University of Hartford through meaningful growth and reimagined excellence—enhancing the student experience. This progress continues, thanks to the power of philanthropy.

As we celebrate all we’ve achieved together, we’re excited for the road ahead. Your continued generosity makes our progress possible, and we’re deeply grateful for your unwavering support of our students and mission.

Shaping Tomorrow Together: Our Collective Impact in 2025

Through the support of our donors, we are able to provide students with unique learning opportunities that propel them upward, offering deep learning experiences and networking opportunities that equip and strengthen them both professionally and personally. When they cross that stage at commencement, they are ready to make a difference in their communities and the world. Together, we are making a significant impact in the lives of University of Hartford students.

“My scholarship was a door opener that changed my life in a positive way. It not only allowed me to continue my studies but also connected me with the people and opportunities I needed to grow and succeed in the business world.”

The President's Fund for Reimagining Excellence is supporting our investment in the living and learning experience of our students—and to the quality of the human and physical infrastructure that facilitates their success. Through this fund, we invested in the operations and expansion of our admissions and enrollment capacity, completely renovated the lower-level of the Gengras Student Union in support of our student groups and organizations, and continued the important work of campus updates and beautification projects.

"As we boldly lean into an exciting and promising future, UHart is thoughtfully investing in the success and experience of our students."

– Lawrence P. Ward, EdD, President

“Receiving this scholarship is deeply meaningful to me, as it will enable me to attend a mathematics conference in Seattle this winter, where I will present my summer research. This opportunity excites me because it allows me to share my work with others, exchange ideas, and build connections with like-minded individuals in the field.”
