The Rogow Distinguished Visiting Lecturers Series presents: Bryan Terrell Clark and Finding Your Purpose: From Baltimore to Broadway's Hamilton. Drawing on real-life lessons from his humble beginnings in Baltimore to his starring career on Broadway – most notably as George Washington in Hamilton: An American Musical – Bryan Terrell Clark inspires others to reach their full potential in life while leaving a positive impact on the world. Much like he does with his philanthropic lifestyle brand inDEFINED, Bryan uses exposure to the arts to empower young change-makers to dream big and discover the best version of themselves.
Known for his starring Broadway roles in Hamilton and Thoughts of a Colored Man, as well as for Netflix’s Inventing Anna and Disney+’s Emmy Award-winning Sneakerella, Bryan Terrell Clark inspires audiences to dream big, create a positive impact on others, and discover the best version of themselves.
Bryan has also appeared in numerous television and streaming productions such as the critically acclaimed Netflix drama When They See Us, Queen Sugar and Cherish the Day on OWN, TNT’s Snowpiercer, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist on NBC. Clark’s other television credits include Empire, NCIS: New Orleans and Blue Bloods among others. He can be seen in Saint X on Hulu, and Diarra from Detroit on Bet+.
Bryan is well-known for his role as George Washington in Hamilton and as Marvin Gaye in Motown: The Musical. His additional theater credits include Fences, Immediate Family and Sophisticated Ladies and His Girl Friday.
Clark is a songwriter and producer. He has performed with many artists, including Maxwell, Brandy, Ne-Yo, Anita Baker and Michael Bublé. He was a co-writer on Mary J. Blidge's "Irreversible" on the album "My Life II."
In addition to performing, Clark co-founded inDEFINED, an initiative that inspires and teaches young people to use their voices to erase constrictive labels in our society. He created his production company Artists Park Productions in 2018. Bryan is also highly in demand for his national speaking engagements with colleges and corporations throughout the United States.
